Actually Kerry, I got the same e-mail, Thierry Giasson. Wasn't sure about it. I declined his offer. Maybe you can pursue it further.

Seems to be safe enough, a 9 page online survey about why you blog politically, what you you hope to accomplish by blogging and what other political activities you might do, like volunteering, etc.
Didn't seem dangerous to me, I'm cool with putting myself out there.
